One of Nigeria’s charity frontrunners, Joan Agha Foundation (JAF), recently paid a visit to Pacelli School for the Blind and partially sighted children to donate a cheque to the 61-year old school based in Surulere, Lagos.
This was done in continuation of the foundation’s 2023 programme which aligns with its objectives of reaching out to those in need in society.
According to JAF’s founder/CEO, Ezinne Joan Amisetu Agha, it is a great pleasure to reach out to those in need. She expressed the foundation’s readiness to do more.
Agha, who spoke to the students on her arrival with her team also promised to regularly collaborate with the school authorities to meet their needs.
The school was established in 1962 by the Catholic Church and Irish Catholic nuns to provide educational assistance for blind children. Over six decades and still waxing strong, the school has maintained its standards through the benevolence of organisations like JAF.
Other programmes lined up by JAF are the International Widows Day in June and empowerment programme for women and youths in October.
