Ahead of the Bayero University Kano (BUK) 36th and 37th combined convocation ceremonies, all graduating students who wish to be part of the academic procession at the event are to take note of the payments and procedure for the collection of academic gowns.

BUK Convocation Payments
The payment is scheduled as follows:
- Undergraduate — N14,000
- Affiliated Colleges — N16,000
- Postgraduate Diplomas — N23,000
- Masters and PhDs — N30,000
NOTE: Masters and PhDs graduands that are interested in purchasing academic gowns are to make separate payments for the gowns as follows;
- Masters — N30,000
- PhDs — N40,000
Procedure for Collection of BUK Academic Gowns
Academic gowns are to be collected at the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records (DEAR) upon presentation of evidence of payment with an ID card for identification:
Day 1: 2nd and 3rd February 2023 — Faculties of Agriculture, Computing. Engineering, Social Sciences, Communication, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Law and Management Sciences
Day 2: 4th and 6th February 2023 — Faculties of Arts and Islamic Studies, Allied Health Sciences, Basic Clinical Sciences, Dentistry, Medical Sciences and School of Continuing Education (SCE)
Day 3: 7th and 8th February 2023 — Faculties of Education, Life Sciences and Physical Sciences
For Postgraduate graduands: 2nd to 10th February, 2023
Return of BUK Academic Gowns
The Academic gowns should be returned to the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records (DEAR) before 3:00 pm on the same day of the convocation. The Book of Proceedings will be issued upon the return of the Academic gowns.
Failure to return the gown by 3:00 pm on the day of the convocation would attract a fine of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000) only.
Collection of BUK Certificates
Certificates are to be issued at the Abubakar Rasheed Senate Building ground floor. Graduands are to present a Book of Proceedings, a clearance from the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions and Records (DEAR) and an original Statement of Result.
